Post 10: My Blogging Experience

Hi classmates and Miss Rosita, I didn`t see this before, that's why I am writing now. Today I will talk to you about my experience with the blog for the very first time and how that help me with the writing.

This is the first time that I use a blog, I didn't like this things before, but now I think that would be very useful, especially like a learning tool. I think that this experience was really good, because I learn new vocabulary and made my writing faster than before. Therefore I think that my writing skills have developed very much. Some topics was very interesting for me, like movies, the expert in my field, or tell about a experience, and other ones not much, like talking about my cellphone jaja. But I think that in general the topics was good and funny. Now I can write about quotidian things much more better than before, and write to other persons who only read in english.

I think that in the future I would like to write about things more related to my career, which is Sociology, with the purpose of make more easier to read texts related to my acreer. The most part of the investigations in Sociology are in english so, in my concern is really important learn some tecnical words and vocabulary.

So thanks you miss Rosita. See you the next semester. Now vacations :)

Post 9: My Best Friend

Hello Classmates and miss Rosita, today I will talk to you about my friends, I don't like to talk about just one best friend, because I have more than one, and I love all of them in the same way, and we share different kind of moments. In this moment I can think in 3 persons: Valeria, Daniela and Karina.

My friendship with Daniela and Valeria started in the high school, almost ten years ago. And we have been friends all of this time. In January of this year we went to Peru and Ecuador, in a travel for one month, and there we know each other more than before. We have lived many meaningful moments, we graduate of high school together, we know our families, and we have share difficult and happy moments. My best memory with them happened a few years ago in a Inti Illimani concert, listening "Mira niñita".

And Karina, Is a friend of my family and mine. I met she in 2010, because my mother, who makes clothes, make a chilean folk dress for her. And then we can't be separated. She is a so positive person, kind, thoughtful, is a wonderful friend. She came to vacations with my family almost every year, and participate on the celebrations, birthday partys with us. My best memory with her happened a few years ago, when she had an operation and I went to take care of her.

Post 8: The Best Concert I've seen

Hello classmates and Miss Rosita, today I will talk to you about the best concert that I have seen, but this is a little difficult to me, because I haven't been to many concerts. So if I have to choose, I would say that I like the concerts of Illapu, no just one, but everyone I went to see.

The first time that I saw Illapu live was on 2011, in a Education protest. That time the march was for the familys, so the ambient was really quiet. The protest was in august 7th, on the childrens day, and was very beautiful, the streets was full of childrens, babys, old man and old woman, fathers, mother, etcetera. That day was raining from morning to the evening, even thouth it was raining the people went to the march. That time my mother and my brother joined to me in the protest and that was really important for me. At the end of the march, some artists was waiting for us, and make a show down the rain. Illapu was there, and is the favorite band of my family. The first cassete of my brother was their, I grew up listening they. So that was a very beautiful moment for us. That happened in the Almagro Park, in Santiago.

Since that, we began to go to see Illapu to every concert that we can. I remember another good concerts with beautiful people, like Los Jaivas with my boyfriend, Inti Illimani with my friends Valeria and Daniela, but everyone was meaningful.

Post 7: An Expert on your field

Hi classmates and miss Rosita, today I will talk to you about Boaventura de Sousa Santos, a recognized portuguese sociologist.

Boaventura de Sousa Santos was born in Coímbra, Portugal in 1940, he is doctor in Right Sociology and a theorist of epistemology. His greatest contribution to the area of Sociology and Epistemology is the idea of "Epistemologías del Sur". This is based on the idea that the most part of the philosophy and social theory is created in Europe, and is over rational. He think that this kind of epistemoly killed the other forms of knowledge, for example the knowledge of our ethnic people. Not only in South America, in Africa and Asia as well. Every other form of medicine, philosophy or science is called superstition or non-rational knowledge. And the capitalism have been distroying our world and our nature, even being very rational, because it has the idea of the maximization of productivity. He think that the humanity goes to their suicide. But the native people has some solutions for many of the problems with the nature, but they are ignored by the eurocentric knowledge.

I like him because he try to recognized the knowledge of forgotten people, because he is from the south as well, but the south in the north.

Post 6: My Favorite Movie

Hi classmates and miss Rosita, today I will talk to you about my favorite movie. I think that none can say which is his/her favorite movie, me neither. I like many movies, like Inception, The bridges of Madison County, Batman (of Christopher Nolan), but if I have to say one now I choose The Hunger Games (saga).

In The Hunger Games the main character is performed by Jennifer Lawrence, playing the part of Katniss Everdeen, who is a 16-years-old girl, who is forced to participate in a reality show called The Hunger Games, where twelve girls and twelve boys have to figth unitl death. She have a little sister called Primrose, and they live with her mother, her father died in a mine explosion.

The movies are based on the Suzzane Collins novels called the same way: Trilogy The Hunger Games, Catching fire and Mockingjay. The story happend in a imaginary country called Panem (in latin: Bread, like Bread and circus). This country have a Capitol and twelve districts. In the Capitol is concentrated the policital and economic power, the people live in the opulence. But in the districts, the people died of hungry, cold and disease. 74 years ago the districts made a revolution against the capitol, but they loose, in fact even distroyed the 13rd district. Since that, every year the Capitol organize a tv show where they select randomly one girl and one boy in every district, they cannot denied, where they will figth until death, just one can win. It's a promise of death, and their families will see the deaths of their children on tv. This is for remember to the districts than they cannot go against the Capitol, and that they are the owner even of their childs. In the 74th Hunger Games, in the distric 12, they selected to Primrose Everdeen (12 years old), and his sister Katniss took her place as a volunteer. In the end, she and Peeta Mellark (from the district 12 too), are alive, but they denied to kill themselves, and they won. That is interpreted like insubordination and that revive the flame of revolution.

My favorite part is in the second movie when Katniss understood that the revolution have began, and she is the face of the revolution. I like the movies because is the hope of a different world, because it makes me dream about a revolution to make a just world, and because the revolution cames of the most repressed.

If I have to change something, I think that would be make just one movie for the 3rd book, because they divided the book in two movies unnecesarily, and that only because of money.

Post 5: My Favorite Photograph

Hi classmates and miss Rosita, today I will talk to you about my favorite photograph, which is a photo about me and my brother.

I don't know who took it, but I think that was my mother, with our old camera. I have just one brother. In this photo I'm with him, my big brother called Gerardo, he is nine years older than me. I don't know when it was taken, but I think that in this picture I was two years old, and my brother was eleven years old, therefor this picture was taken around twenty two years ago, approximately on 1993. I like it because makes me remind my childhood, some things are sad, but played with my big brother was actually great thing. I remember his child-jokes and makes me laugh now. Also I know that the dress that I was wearing was choose by my mother, because she likes that kind of dresses a lot. Also, I like this photo because I think that we look very similar, almost identical, our eyes are the same: we are two drops of water! And we are equal to our mother, who is beautiful. Now he is a 32-years-old-man, and I like to see the man who became on.
Kisses :)
